I am the Special Needs Coordinator at St Nicholas Academy.  This is somewhat of a new role for me.  Last year I assisted in this department as well as taught middle school.  I am excited that this is my one and only job this year! In this poistion, I work with teachers to differentiate instruction and one-on-one and in small groups with students who learn differently.  I am eager to put my Special Needs degree from Bellarmine University to use!  I am working part time; my work days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is my 6th year teaching and all six years have been at St Nicholas.  I taught middle school Language Arts the first five years.

Catholic schools have always been a major part of my life.  I attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Holy Cross High School and finally Bellarmine University.  I graduated from Bellarmine in May 2006.  My Bachelors degree is a dual degree in K-12 grade Special Needs and 5-8 Language Arts.  I also have my Masters degree from Bellarmine University.  That degree is a Reading and Writing Specialist degree. 

Family is very important to me, and my family is very close.  I have an older sister, an older brother, one niece and several nephews. I married Justin in 2008; we have one child, Ryan, who was born in December of 2010.  We also have a dog, Riley.
